12th May 1971: Sam leaps into the body of convicted murderer Jesus Ortega, strapped into an electric chair in the last moments of his life. Luckily for Sam, Jesus is given a last-minute reprieve in response to an appeal, and granted a forty-eight hour stay of execution while an investigation is conducted into his claims that evidence was omitted from his trial. While Jesus’ attorney, Tearsa Lorrea, is overjoyed, District Attorney Theodore Moody is far from pleased, concerned that this unexpected turn of events will affect his chances of becoming Governor in a forthcoming election. After Sam is escorted back to his cell on Death Row, All arrives on the scene and explains that Jesus and his accomplice, Raul Casta, have been accused of robbing a church and killing a priest – but while they both admit to carrying out the theft, they deny committing murder. Sam must find a way to prove Jesus’ and Raul’s innocence – but with Jesus currently lying comatose in the Waiting Room, it looks like Sam’s chances of escaping death are hopeless…
